Formosa Oolong is a darker style oolong tea from Taiwan, formerly known as Formosa (which means 'beautiful', given by the Portuguese explorers of the island). Deep raisiny and ripe fruit aroma, autumn 'leafy' notes. Lingering sweet flavor and smooth, refreshingly fruity astringency. This Formosa Oolong is easy to prepare and remains a lovely introduction to Taiwanese tea. Origin: Taiwan. Ingredients: Oolong tea. Allergens: None. Caffeine Level: Medium Caffeine. Brewing: 1 tsp per 8oz water, steep for 3-4 minutes at 170-185F. Oolong Teas do particularly well with multiple steeps, will vary by taste. Up to three times. Steep immediately or reserve and let dry till use.
