Cultivated on the Bourbon island of Madagascar, these premium vanilla beans are among the best in the world. Use whole vanilla bean in custard, pudding, creme anglaise, ice cream, hot or iced beverages, vanilla sugar, or homemade vanilla extract.
To scrape the seeds from the inside of the pod, use a sharp knife to cut the pod lengthwise and gently spread the two sides apart. Using the tip of the knife, scrape the inside of the pod and use the seeds per the recipe. The scraped pod can be used to make vanilla extract or sugar.
