This mix is most commonly used in Northern Indian cooking. To preserve the flavor, add Garam Masala to curries sparingly toward the end of cooking, or sprinkle over food just before serving. Garam Masala can also be used on vegetables, potatoes, fish, pork, or lamb.

Ingredients: Coriander, cumin, black pepper, mace, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, and bay leaves.
